Jail & Bail 2024

10 Well-known Suffolk professionals, from business owners to directors, professors to solicitors were thrown in the cells as they took part in the Home-Start Jail & Bail Fundraiser to help raise vital funds to support Families across the county.

The event took  place on Friday 8 March throughout the afternoon and the 10 prisoners were arrested in various locations in and around Woodbridge, with all detainees being taken to the Home-Start in Suffolk makeshift jail at the Shire Hall on the Market Hill in Woodbridge

Each of those ‘arrested’ were tasked with the challenge of raising their £1,000 Bail to secure their release and gain their freedom.

Home-Start’s Jailbirds, who were being arrested for a multitude of ridiculous and fictitious crimes, include Clare Lucas – Outsourcing Specialist, Matthew Shields – Investment Manager at RBC Brewin Dolphin, Clare Swann – Founder and owner of 1975winebar, Jane Billing – Director of Billie Box Ltd., Andy Skinner – Managing Director of AMS Business Consultants, Dr Ruth Flaherty – Senior Lecturer in Law at University of Suffolk, James Robbins – Partner at Marshall Hatchick LLP, Nicole Rickard – Head of Communities at East Suffolk Council and Ricky Dzierozynski – Chief Operating Officer at Sona Insurance Brokers and Kate Grant, director of the East of England Network for Cadent Gas.

Their crimes ranges included things such as excessive use of social media or being too box-tastic, to helping too many people get their ducks in a row, and spreading too much joy in the classroom

Suffolk Police made the arrests from 11.30 am on Friday, booking them in and handing them over to Home-Start’s judge, BBC Radio Suffolk’s breakfast show host, Wayne Bavin, for sentencing before slinging them in the cells at in the Shire Hall

It was such a fun day with a serious fundraising side.  Our prisoners were amazing and collectively raised more than £11,500 to help support families across our county who are really finding it tough at the moment.

Show your support for the Suffolk’s Most Wanted – help them to secure their bail for release!
