Linda Phelan

Treasurer

Linda Phelan is Home-Start in Suffolk’s Treasurer.

Linda is a qualified accountant and project manager who worked in Government, the London Stock Exchange and an international investment bank before moving to Suffolk in 2007 with her family. Linda became a  volunteer with Home-Start in Suffolk in 2009 visiting families in their own homes, accompanying them to medical appointments and play groups and helping out with finances.  Linda joined the Board of Trustees as Treasurer in 2019.  After ten years with Suffolk Mind as Head of Support Services and Company Secretary, Linda is now Head Finance and Compliance with Mid and North East Essex Mind.  

With Linda’s own volunteer experience within Home-Start and her wealth of knowledge about our organisation, we asked Linda to share with us why she loves Home-Start and the work that we do:

“Whether it be practical assistance, emotional support, financial advice or help with child-care our trained volunteers are always on hand making a huge difference to the daily lives of parents and children across our county, giving them the confidence and skills to live their lives to the full.”
