Miranda Kendall
Miranda Kendall has been a very keen supporter of Home-Start in Suffolk for many years and we were delighted that she agreed to join us as Patron in 2016. Miranda has a background in PR and marketing and home is the family farm Marple Farm Kelsale, which produces organic eggs, fresh vegetables and flour.
Miranda is well known for her support of charitable organisations working in the East of England including being a trustee for prison charity Fine Cell Work, Britten Pears Arts as well as Ormiston Families. She is an ambassador for the Woodland Trust and a Vice-President of the Country Trust, encouraging children out into the countryside. Dedicated to children and their education, she is also on the board of governors at a secondary school in Lowestoft.
When asked about her support of Home-Start and why she loves the organisation Miranda said
“I have been passionate about and supported Home-Start in Suffolk for a number of years. It’s an extraordinary organisation with such an amazing network of dedicated volunteers.
“Home-Start volunteers are at the heart of the charity, and the practical and emotional support they provide to Suffolk families is a life line to so many, empowering them by giving them the confidence and skills to help their children to flourish. Meeting some of the families and volunteers over the years I have been humbled by everything I have seen and heard. I know there are so many Suffolk families that have benefited from Home-Start support and I feel privileged to be part of this amazing charity.”
