Peter Wilson

Peter Wilson joined our board of Trustees this year. His career extends 22 years in the shipping industry, through operational and commercial roles until becoming Group Managing Director for Cory Brothers Shipping Agency Ltd, whom employ approx 100 people in Suffolk; and he is an Executive Committee member with parent company Braemar PLC.

Having lived in the Suffolk for since 2005 and enjoyed the benefits of more rural living with his wife & four children, Peter was keen to give back to the community that has offered so much to him and his family.

Home Start also has a close place to Peter’s wider family group following the loss of his sister tragically in 2019, whom had been an avid supporter of Home-Start for many years.

We asked Peter to share with us why he supports Home-Start in Suffolk:

“Home Start in Suffolk is the only charity I would have considered becoming a trustee with. The professional, caring and willingness of the full time team and every one of the volunteers, to give the absolute best support to families in Suffolk is inspiring to see.

“Being able to help guide & grow the Home-Start in Suffolk service is one of the proudest roles in my life. My wish for Home-Start in Suffolk is to be able to extend our care to many more needful families in the future.”
